Tulsa: The Cultural Hub of Oklahoma
Tulsa is the second largest city in the state of Oklahoma and the 47th most populous city in the Unite States. It is situated on the Arkansas River at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains in northeast Oklahoma in a region of the state known as "Green Country." It is the cultural center of Oklahoma with its two world-renowned art museums, full-time professional opera and ballet companies, and rampant concentrations of art deco architecture. The city has been called one of America's most livable large cities by Forbes. It was also ranked among the 50 best cities in the United States by BusinessWeek. Tulsa manages over 135 parks spread over 6,000 acres of land. It is known for the Tulsa Municipal Rose Garden with more than 6,000 plants in 250 varieties.
